Nominations for the 86th annual Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning in Beverly Hills, Calif. "American Hustle" and "Gravity" both scored the most amount of nods, with ten nominations each. "12 Years a Slave" followed with nine nominations. There were also a couple of surprise shut-outs, like Oprah Winfrey and Robert Redford. Teri Okita reports. Kate Gosselin's attempt to show how great things are going for her kids blew up in her face on live TV this morning ... because the kids CLEARLY didn't follow the script. Tricia Helfer says her new ABC series 'Killer Women' - exec. produced by Sofia Vergara - features murder, mystery and amore.  Killer Women began airing on Tuesdays starting January 7, 2014. The series is based on the Argentine crime drama Mujeres Asesinas, which was adapted into an American setting by writer Hannah Shakespeare. Shakespeare will also serve as an executive producer alongside Sofía Vergara, Ben Silverman, Luis Balaguer and Martin Campbell for Pol-Ka Productions, Silverman's Electus productions, Vergara and Balaguer's Latin World Entertainment and ABC Studios.

From Academy Award winning director Martin Scorsese comes The Wolf of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The Wolf of Wall Street is a biographical black comedy film directed by Martin Scorsese, based on Jordan Belfort's memoir of the same name. The film starts Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Rob Reiner, Jonah Hill  The screenplay was written by Terence Winter, and the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Belfort, along with Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey, among others. The Wolf of Wall Street marks the fifth collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio.

He wasn't just another comedian, he was a legend! With December 18th marking the anniversary of his untimely death. Chris Farley (February 15, 1964 – December 18, 1997) member of Chicago's Second City Theatre and cast member of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live between 1990 and 1995. Farley was introduced as one of the show's new cast members in early 1990. Farley died of a drug overdose at the age of 33.
