The Tribeca Film Festival is a film festival that was founded in 2002 by Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro and Craig Hatkoff. The festival's mission is to provide artists with unique platforms to expand the audience for their works and to broaden the access point for consumers to experience independent film and media.

The festival draws an estimated three million people — including often-elusive celebrities from the worlds of art, film, and music — and generates $600 million annually. The festival was held today, Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
